Daddy Days

Marion calls Saturdays, “Daddy Days” because it is the one day we all go out together with Daddy. Sometimes we just wander about the city and discover new places. Sometimes we go to the Naschmarkt and get kebabs (most of the time!) Sometimes we go to a new museum. Sometimes we have movie days at home. But it is a wonderful day of the week. We all love Daddy Days.

There is a beautiful Catholic church near a playground we like to go to. Chris had never seen it before because we always go with friends. Chris had to stop by a shop in the area and the kids played at a nearby park. It was a freezing cold day and when we got to the train stop, there was a long wait for the train. We decided to go inside the church and look around. It is so lovely. Murals and paintings everywhere. It was also still cold. I could still see my breath when I was walking around inside.

The kids always want to pay to weigh themselves. I have no idea why it is so appealing, but every time they see one of these scales they ask if they can weigh themselves! We figured out that with little kids you can actually figure out how much they weigh even if you don’t pay, and then we decided to see how much they all weighed together. Turns out it is pretty hard to put four kids on a scale at the same time.

James loves having his picture taken when he is being silly.

We love wandering about the city with Daddy, he is a pretty fun guy. He also owns amazing hats.
