Leiner’s Cafe on a Rainy Day

On a rainy afternoon while Chris was out with his parents and the big kids, I was taking Marion and James home and it started pouring rain. This is, of course, an excellent time to take pictures in front of the art museum. The kids were in no hurry to go anywhere, but they started to get so wet that we ran into the furniture store Leiner to wait out the storm.

There is a small indoor playground on the top floor which the kids like to play at. There are some nice toys to play with and a little slide. Everything these two need to be entertained.

There is also a cafe on the top floor with really cheap food. We enjoyed some hot chocolate, french fries, and goulash soup. James decided he liked dipping his french fries in the soup instead of in ketchup. Whatever works! We had a great view from our table too.

We enjoyed our beautiful view of blue skies and sunshine, and left the store when another storm hit. Of course the kids who always want to take the train had no interest in taking the train when there was a wonderful rainstorm to walk home in! We walked home slowly, stomping in puddles, and getting completely drenched. I think I need to buy some rain boots so I can enjoy these exciting raining walks without getting wet feet.
