Dönersday is Saturday Kebap at the Naschmarkt

Every Saturday we make our weekly trip to  the Naschmarkt, a mile long market of fresh produce, restaurants, and an antique flea market . But the most important thing we do is get a Döner Kebap and go to the park.

The kids all love their Kebaps and call them lamb sandwiches. They get them plain of course, without all the tomatoes, lettuce, yogurt and and red pepper which makes them taste awesome.

Kebabs are universally regarded as being terrible for you, and the ones at the Naschmarkt are not only the best in Austria, but bigger as well. We’ve been frequenting the same place for a long time now and they know exactly how we want it. Two with only meat for the kids, cut in half, and another one with everything but onions, again cut in half.

Marion loves hers so much she’s eating it while on the zip line swing at the nearby park!

This is a picture from a different day at the park, but you can see how much James loves his Döner kebap — and his mama!
