Driving Home by way of the Phoenix Temple Open House

Elora found this cute little guy at one of our hotels on the way home from Florida. I can’t remember where we were, but she was SO happy. She even named him Hoppy.

James is a goober. But as long as he was happy in the car, goober is great!
We stopped at the Battleship Memorial Park in Alabama on the way home and there was a group of people practicing helicopter rescues. The kids loved watching the helicopter.

The kids were also happy to have tons of space to run around in!

We enjoyed walking around the park. If you are ever in Alabama, this is definitely worth a visit.

Here is an awesome BBQ place we stopped at that had a playground. The kids were so excited to play and we were so excited to eat yummy BBQ!
We drove to Phoenix to go see the Temple Open House with Chris’ parents and brother’s family. It was really beautiful, but the little ones were pretty tired from all the traveling! It is always fun to see family though.

James fell asleep half way through the tour and stayed asleep for a long time!

We also got to visit my friend Jacki so that Elora and her friend Alex could play. These two girls sure do love seeing each other!!!

This was after I told them they could not play the next day…

And then they all started making scary faces at us. Chase and Marion loved playing together too. They always have fun when they are together. And yes, that is Halloween decorations, this post is being made super late, our trip was last October.

I love seeing Jacki and I wish we lived closer. Maybe someday we will! For now, we enjoy our spontaneous Arizona trips to see our family and friends!
