Cinderella

While Sharon was visiting we went to see the community production of Cinderella. Before we could leave, Oliver insisted on showing us his latest lego creation. He likes us to photograph his work. This kid sure does love his legos.
We had a big bucket of pecans that were still in the shell and spent some time shelling and eating pecans. I never can get them out of the shell without breaking them. Here is Sharon with her perfectly shelled pecan.
We went to dinner at a Chinese restaurant with all of our kids. The kids were pretty good, but a bit loud as one would expect when there are 7 children at the table.
Elora liked her food. We may have found one of the only restaurants where each of the kids found something they liked on the menu.
That is a cute little face. This kid loves orange and pumpkins so he wears Halloween shirts year round.
There was an older couple that kept looking at us all through dinner. When they got up to leave they stopped to talk with my parents. They asked if we were all their family and they replied that we were. They said, “What a blessing to have so many beautiful children here with you!” After they left I said, “Wow, that conversation did not go how I expected!” I had thought they were annoyed when they were looking over, and really they saw beautiful, happy children. Thank you to those people! It helped me recognize what a blessing my kids are. Even when they are loud in restaurants.
Elora brought her binoculars to the play so she could see the stage better.
James spent the evening walking up and down the row sitting on various peoples’ laps. I guess next time we should just bring the older kids… he did like the music. We sat by the orchestra and Oliver really enjoyed watching the orchestra play.
My sweet friend Jenna was in the play as one of the stepsisters and she did such a great job. It is fun that the community puts on a musical every other year, we really enjoy going to watch the productions.
