Oliver Plays TeeBall

Oliver LOVES tee ball and has been really excited to play every game and at every practice. He also wears his cape to most games. Today he decided to be Superman during his game. He is getting pretty good at hitting the ball!
And who doesn’t love seeing Oliver in a cape running the bases?
He won’t wear the helmets that fit his head because he says they are too tight, so instead he always wears this helmet that is too big and holds it while he runs. But he is so happy when he runs that it is super cute anyway.
James enjoyed some cheetos during the game. Normally he follows me around, but today he stayed with Auntie Lisa the whole game while I took pictures.
Elora and Jessie stayed entertained the whole game by climbing around and sliding down the hill. This is where most of the siblings hang out during tee ball games!
Someone gave Oliver gum before the game and during the whole inning that he chewed the gum, he did not chase the ball or anything. He just stood there playing with his gum. Apparently it is too hard to chew gum and play baseball at the same time.
After he spit out his gum the ball didn’t come his way very often, but when it did he literally jumped for joy before chasing the ball.
Then he decided to change his cape so he could be Batman during the remainder of the game.
One of Oliver’s favorite parts of the game is running to give the other team high 5s. I love tee ball and I especially love watching Oliver play because he is so happy when he is on the ball field. He loves being part of his team and playing with the other kids.

Here is his team this year: Coach Shalisse Sorensen. Back row left to right: Ammon, Maddie, Oliver, Tennysee, Desi. Front row left to right: Gracie, Ally, Tyson, Teagan.

Batman was being super sweet and holding hands with his little brother for the walk home. James usually wants to stick with me, but today he really wanted to be with big brother.
At home I turned on the sprinklers because our grass is getting a bit dry with the recent hot spell. Marion was very excited and would not leave the yard.
She convinced James to come play with her too. He loved it at first…
Until he realized that his pants were getting wet and then he was not as excited! Marion however had no problem with getting wet, and stayed outside until she was dripping with cold water and I told her she had to come in for dinner.
