Marion Sailor Suit

Chris’ grandmother made a child size sailor suit out of Chris’ grandfather’s Navy uniform. Chris’ dad used to wear it when he was young. We have a cute picture of Chris wearing it as a small boy, and each of our kids has worn it when they turn three. Now it is Marion’s turn! It was interesting trying to take pictures of Marion. First of all, she didn’t want to wear the suit. Or the hat. Or look at the camera. Or stand where she was supposed to. And if you have met Marion, you understand why all of these things are a problem. But we love this little fiery girl and we surprisingly ended up with some really cute photos. This is the chosen picture for the wall.
Here is the sepia-toned version for Nana.
And here are a couple other favorites. I love how happy she looks in this one. She was untying her tie – that was very amusing for her.
And we love this one, because this is such a Marion face. She is a little bit feisty, and we like that.
She loves her little brother and wanted to give him a kiss and take a picture with him. He looks a little frightened – it might because she was grabbing him by the neck. These two have a very interesting relationship – with lots of grabbing, pinching, biting, hitting, but in the end – lots of hugs and giggles.
