Halloween Spooktacular

Since it is almost Thanksgiving, I better hurry and post about Halloween! The town of Orderville has a great event called the Halloween Spooktacular the weekend before Halloween. It starts with a little parade which Marion and Oliver wanted to participate in this year.
Elora was not interested in being in the parade until she found out her friend Kaitlyn was going to be in it. So Elora and Oliver walked with their friends while I hung out with this cute little octopus.
Chris got to march with this cute little knight. I love that in our small town all the highway traffic is shut down for our little parades. So fun.
All the kids in the parade stopped to pick up the candy that the floats had thrown to the spectators. Elora gathered quite a bit of candy!
Marion was so excited about her costume this year. She wears it most of the time now. And don’t call that a tutu. Those are tentacles.
Marion loved the party. She had a great time just running around and looking at everything.
I got to be in charge of signing people up for the costume contest, so Oliver came and hung out at the table with me.
This pictures pretty much sums up what Marion did all night.
Here is Elora with her friends Brielle and Kaitlyn.
There was face painting which Elora LOVES. You can’t tell though, she was being shy when I decided to take pictures of her.
For the costume contest there was a little parade around the gym so the judges could see all the costumes.
James didn’t last too long into the festivities before he ended up here with Grandpa.
Oliver and Elora won prizes for their costumes. There was also a cake walk which was fun although we only won cupcakes (that is probably good, I didn’t really want a whole cake). The kids enjoyed going to a party to celebrate Halloween! They love dressing up, so it was fun to have a chance to dress up before Halloween.
