Ko Olina Lagoon Sand Castle

We bought the kids sunglasses – Elora kept saying the sun was hurting her eyes – and I didn’t really think Marion would wear hers, but she was so excited that they matched her swimsuit that she wore them to the beach one day.

Here is Nana with some of the fun items she finds by trash cans on her morning walk. There is quite the collection of beach chairs, buckets, toys, floaties, umbrellas, and more!

My little fishies out in the lagoon! We swam all the way out to the rocks to look for fish and ended up finding some sea urchins living in the rocks too.

Then Daddy helped the kids build a sand castle with a huge wall in front of it.

Marion started getting a little braver about going towards the water since big sister Elora went with her.

We found this weird looking sand crab – bug while digging in the sand. We made Elora take it far away from us since she was the only one who wasn’t creeped out by it.

We made a big moat in front of the castle and Marion and James thought it was a pretty great place to hang out. Marion called it her swimming pool.

What a cute beach baby!!! James loved playing in the sand with his shovel.

And he didn’t even mind when we started dumping buckets of water on his back. Oliver was using the water to wash his hands because he didn’t like having sandy hands. It didn’t keep his hands clean real long. I love that he was wearing floaties in the little “swimming hole”.

Daddy decided to dump water on Marion’s head. She thought that was pretty funny.

These goobers are so fun to go to the beach with!

After we got home and bathed all the kids, they started crawling around and playing together. Moments like these are the ones that make parenting so fun. I love when they are friends. It reminds me of my own childhood and loving my siblings and playing together. We are so glad we got to go to Hawaii and make some great memories together!
