Christmas Morning – Take 2!

For “Christmas morning” breakfast we made waffles. The kids were almost as excited about the waffles as they were about the presents!
Marion just looked around happily all morning. I’m not sure she really understood what was going on, but she could sense the excitement of her siblings and loved it!
She loves waffles too.
Those are some sweet happy kids ready to open their presents!
My favorite part of watching Elora and Oliver open presents is how excited they are to show each other what they got. Books are always a favorite! Sometimes it is hard to get them to put the books down to open more presents!
Elora was excited to get some new clothes from Nana.
Oliver was so excited about his new shirt from Nana that he put it on right away! I love that kid.
Here is Oliver showing off another new shirt.
Marion loved her new legos and stopped opening presents after that. She just wanted to look at her legos. Elora was excited to open this present from her cousins because she knew what it was…
A Rapunzel doll! Elora loves Rapunzel. Oliver was pretty excited about it too.
Uncle David and Aunt Lupita got Oliver an airplane set, which he LOVED. All the other kids love it too! We often find Oliver and Marion playing airplanes together.
We got the kids a box full of costumes. Oliver has been asking for a pirate sword for a year now, so he was pretty pleased when he found one in the box!
Oliver also loves pretending to be the UPS man, so we bought his a UPS man costume. He was very excited!
Marion got a Sesame Street building with characters from Uncle David and Aunt Lupita. She LOVES it, because it is an apartment building (anything that is an apartment has been exciting since we bought our condo), and because it has a Cookie Monster and Elmo. She plays with it every day!
Elora in some of her new costume pieces – a princess cape and crown.
Oliver spent the rest of the day trying on all the costumes. And Oliver has not been home much since then – we usually entertain Batman, the UPS man, stormtroopers, pirates, or Superman instead and Oliver “comes home” at bedtime (and for his birthday).
Out delivering packages! Our real UPS man loves that Oliver has this costume and tells Oliver that he can fill in for him if he needs a day off.
Elora also loves the costumes (and Marion loves Elora no matter who she is dressed as).
Time for James to open his present from Uncle David and Aunt Lupita. He didn’t seem that interested, but the rest of the kids were sure excited!
The kids were so excited to show their “Baby Jamesy Boo” his new toys. We had such a great time with the kids this Christmas season – maybe even more fun than usual since Christmas spanned three weeks for our family this year!
