Festival of Trees

Elora got to sing at the Christmas tree lighting in Orderville this year. Marion was very excited to go watch her sister sing. She also for some reason always wears her snowboots, even though it has been 60 degrees every day. But just try talking her out of it…
The kids singing Jingle Bells. Elora doesn’t love performing, as we have mentioned before, but she sang all the songs this year.
And she even almost smiled. Such a sweet girl. And she loved seeing the lights go on at the end of the song.
She made this little reindeer hat at school to wear for the performance. She was very excited about that.
Then it was over to the Festival of Trees where the kids got to meet Santa. No one cried, Elora and Oliver were super excited, and Marion was excited after it was over and she got a candy cane. Which pretty much makes it a successful visit with Santa. Elora forgot to tell him what she wanted for Christmas and has spent every day since then wondering if he already knows what she wants.
There were little booths selling various items at the festival. Elora and Oliver bought each other gifts while the other wasn’t looking, and Marion put on this Cookie Monster hat and then ran off wearing it, so we decided to buy it for her. She is pretty cute in her goofy new hat! How can you say no to a face like that?
