Marion Playing

Marion is almost two years old, so here is a collection of pictures from the last few months of Marion playing. She is quite the fiery little personality, very sure of what she wants, and NOT happy when she does not get her way. But she is also sweet and loves to play, and we get a lot of great pictures of this funny little girl as she plays around the house.

Marion likes things that belong to her big brother and sister, so here she is wearing Oliver’s favorite hat as well as his shoes. A friend of mine gave her the necklace and she enjoys wearing it every day! She also LOVES this blue dress and asks to wear it to church every week. Such a cute girl.

She also like things that belong to the baby… Here she is trying out his bouncer.

Marion loves kitties, so she usually wants to wear one of three shirts: her white BYU onesie, her pink BYU onesie, or her Halloween kitty shirt. She has been celebrating Halloween since July in her orange shirt… I am glad it is finally October so she can wear that shirt without seeming strange.
Marion loves sunglasses. She stole Elora’s and started wearing them around the house, and looked SO cute. We have magnetic letters on the fridge, and Marion has learned that “D” is for daddy, “M” is for mommy, “O” is for Oliver, and “E” is for Elora. She likes playing with the “red daddy” letter the best – here she is holding it while running around the kitchen.
Marion loves these new blocks she got, and often is carrying one of them around the house.
Here she is trying to open our one locked cupboard. She likes getting into things.
Marion likes to sit and color (I think because Elora likes to color, and Marion likes playing with Elora). The week she started sitting down by herself and colored for quite awhile. Here she looks very pleased because she found her favorite crayon – purple.
Marion LOVES to read, and can often be found carrying books around the house. She likes to find any adult in the house and yell, “Read it!” She also likes sitting and reading on her own. She has discovered that the baby’s bouncy chair is quite a comfortable place to sit and read. She also loves ladybugs, and has recently discovered our book, “The Grouchy Ladybug”.
Marion LOVES shoes. Here she discovered Elora’s boots and started wearing them around the house. We all have trouble keeping track of our shoes because Marion likes to take them and wear them around the house. She is very particular though, and when it is time to pick out a pair of her own shoes to wear, she always wants to wear her pretty brown ones with flowers that are meant for church – and we let her wear them everywhere now, since she seems to like the fancy shoes best.

The kids like to dance on the couch. I love this one, with Elora wearing Chris’ hat, Oliver in his winter hat and gardening gloves (he informed me that they are super hero gloves) and Marion in another of Chris’ hats on backwards. They all love Daddy’s things and are so cute when they all play together.

Marion got this little costume recently and loves to wear it every day. It came with butterfly wings and she really gets excited to wear them. Here she is with her pretty costume on over one of her other favorite things – a Spiderman t-shirt. All my kids have loved Spiderman and have shared this t-shirt over the years. I think it goes really well with the wings and pretty necklace.

And even in her sleep, she looks like she is jumping in the air. This kid never stops moving…
