Elora’s First Day of School

Elora’s first day of school was in August, and it felt so early to me! I cannot believe how fast the summer went. Even more, I can’t believe that it is already mid-October…

Oliver was awake to see his sister off. We got Elora an alarm clock last year, and this year we decided to turn on the alarm and see if Elora could get herself out of bed. As I was very pregnant, I was excited that Elora got out of bed, got dressed, and I did not have to hike upstairs to shaker her awake!!!

Oliver was sad to see Elora go to school, but Elora gave him a nice hug before she left.

Marion woke up right before the bus came, and also got a nice hug.

What beautiful little girls! I cannot believe how fast they are growing up!

Marion and Oliver then sat on the couch and watched out the window for the school bus. The green shirt Marion is holding is one of Chris’s t-shirts. She has claimed it, and now sleeps with it and likes to drag it around the house…

On some school days, Elora sets up Dirty Teddy so he can watch out the window and wait for her to get home from school. On this day she even set him up on the muffin tin so he could have a snack while waiting.

Marion and Oliver like to watch out the window for Elora to get home from school. It has been interesting to see how Marion and Oliver have become better friends since Elora is gone most of the day. They have their own little games that they like to play during the school day, and they also enjoy getting into Elora’s toys when she is not here to tell them not to! Which is why Oliver has such a pretty pink magic wand in this picture…
