St. George Air Show

I keep waiting for Chris to help me with this post since he knows what all the planes are called, but I have decided to go ahead and post it and he can update it later. We went to the kids’ first air show down in St. George. I haven’t been to one since I was a kid, but both Chris and I have fond memories of air shows and were excited to take the kids. As were everyone else who lives near us – we saw a lot of our neighbors there!
Elora picked out a pink camo hat for her souvenir and was very excited about it.
Marion loved the air show way more than I thought she would. She liked seeing all the airplanes.
Her excited face after a plane flew over us.
Oliver bought a blue angel toy and had a great time flying it while watching all the planes.
This is the plane we refer to as “the loud plane”. We unfortunately did not have earplugs, and it was REALLY loud.
Marion still liked it – here she is pointing at it and saying, “plane!”
Here was Elora’s reaction to the loud plane…
Chris walked the kids around to see some of the other planes, helicopters and such that were on display. They both really liked seeing all the planes and getting to go inside of them.
They also loved the tank and hung out here to play for a while.
We left the airshow and hung out in the parking lot during the blue angels so we could avoid the rush after the show ended. It turned out perfectly because we still had a great view of the blue angels and there was room for the kids to play.
Oliver loved running around playing with his toy plane.

One more blue angel picture, just because I think they are cool. I still remember seeing them when I was little and even had a signed poster in my room for a while. Oliver’s blue angel toy has been one of his favorites ever since! I guess when the air show comes back, we will definately be there!
