Elora and Oliver’s Dance Recital

Elora and Oliver took dance again this spring. They absolutely love dancing and their teacher Miss Heidi.

Elora’s ballet was a song about an inchworm. She loved this song and dance, and we even caught a rare performance smile!!!

Oliver’s tap dance was about dandelions. He was the cutest lion I have ever seen.

Elora’s class did a tap dance to the song, “It’s My Party and I’ll Cry if I Want To”. Elora informed me that it is a very sad song, because the girl’s boyfriend leaves with someone else and she cries!!! Elora was very concerned about this situation. She is such a sweet girl. I know Elora loves to dance – we hope that someday she will get over her stage fright so we can see how well she dances! But we are very proud of her for getting up on that stage. It is one of her greatest fears to have people watching her, so for her to perform at all is a HUGE step in overcoming her stage fright.

Here is Oliver in his very dashing hat and tie. He is so cute dancing with all his little girl-friends. Maybe someday we can recruit some more boys to take dance class too…
