Easter Egg Hunt

We got home from a trip to California just in time to attend the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Elementary School.

Luckily I found some Easter baskets in the basement so the kids had baskets to use. Here is Oliver in his lovely basket hat, waiting for the hunt to start. And if you are wondering, he is wearing a ski bib because Chris took him skiing right after the Easter Egg Hunt.

Elora was old enough now that she had to search on the big kid side of the field. I was sad the kids couldn’t all go together, but Elora was very excited about the hunt anyway.

Marion got excited as soon as she spotted the first egg, and couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t let her go out to collect it.

Finally the hunt started! Marion wasted no time running out to collect eggs. I am really surprised at how quickly she figured this out.

Oliver was super excited to get eggs in his basket.

Elora ran right out there! You have to be faster on the big kid side, the little kids take longer to spot the eggs than the bigger kids do.

You can see that Elora found quite a few eggs in her basket though.

When all the big kid eggs were gone, Elora came over to help Marion hunt.

I don’t know why, but I think it is so cute to watch such a little girl collect eggs in a basket…

Oliver was done hunting after he had about ten eggs. He then proceeded to sit down and eat all his candy even though there were TONS of eggs still on the field. We kept asking him if we wanted to get some more and he just said, “No thanks, I am done now.” Funny boy.
