After cleaning the church, Chris took the kids to the tractor pull. The kids called it “The Farmer Show” which is another good name for it I think! Elora thought it was really neat to watch all the tractors.
Here is one of the antique tractors that was at the show. It seems like all of the tractors used were pre-1950s. Basically, they had different categories for the weight of the tractor and the kinds of engine modifications done to it. The ground was made wet and muddy and they’d see how far a tractor could pull a heavy “sled” used for road construction before it got bogged down in the mud.
We thought this would be a big event in our little town, but here is the crowd… I am not sure even the families of the people participating came… But the kids enjoyed the show and Oliver has been excited to play with his tractor toys ever since.
