Elora’s Room

This is a work in progress. Elora’s room is mostly done now, but these are some pictures of when I was painting it. She wanted a blue room with clouds, so I asked my very talented friend Monica to tell me how she had painted clouds in her nursery. As it turns out, it was super easy and I didn’t feel too intimidated by the project…

The clouds turned out so well that Chris assumed I have more painting talent than I might actually have, and suggested I paint a sun. Then came a rainbow. Then, why not paint the Matterhorn on the wall?

And while we are at it, lets paint some grass too. It turned out super cute, and I was excited to find a dresser and shelf for $5 a piece at a garage sale. They look cute in Elora’s room. We also have a cute bed frame that was actually mine when I was younger. We put up some of her favorite posters from Vienna, and I will post more pics later of the finished room (just a few more finishing touches and we will have one room in our house finished!)

Marion thought painting looked like fun, so on some of the many nights when she was having trouble sleeping I let her come up with me while I did my late night painting. I will post a few more pics in a couple weeks when I finish up the room. Next up: The rest of the house…
