Visiting Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bob

A few weeks ago we headed up north and stayed with Chris’ Aunt Sharon and her husband Bob. They had planned all sorts of fun activities for the kids and we had a really great time!

There is a fun place near their house called Jungle Jim’s. It has all sorts of little kid rides and games to play. Kind of like Chucky Cheese, only it had more stuff that little kids can do. As you can see, the kids LOVED all the rides.

Oliver liked waving to us when he was on the rides. So cute.

This was one of the favorite games of the day. You wack the alligators with your hands when they come out of their holes. Oliver especially liked hitting the alligators. Elora looked like she was afraid they would bite her.

This was the “scariest” ride. A little roller coaster that went forward and then backward. Elora liked it until it went backwards and then she looked completely terrified! They only rode this one once…

Oliver loved the little jeeps. Thanks Aunt Sharon for bringing us to Jungle Jims! The kids had such a great time and have talked about how much they want to go back.

Then we went back to Aunt Sharon’s house and went swimming until a summer storm rolled in. The kids were so bummed when they had to get out, but we had to explain why thunder and lightning just don’t mix with swimming! Elora was excited to show us how well she swims and floats.

Marion loved the water and kept trying to dunk her face in it. She likes to splash in the water.

And Oliver apparently likes the taste of pool water… He gave his dad a really nice lick while they were swimming. Chris says he didn’t even realize he got licked until we looked at the pictures!
