Harry Potter Date Night!

Chris asked me out a date a few weeks ago to see Harry Potter. For some reason this is the only movie series that ever gets us to leave our kids so we can go to a movie! So we brought in the babysitters, prepped them for the fact that Marion doesn’t like to sleep, and left for our 7 hour excursion to the movies in Cedar City!

We started out at Cafe Rio for some awesome food. I have totally missed this place! Although we think the prices went up when we were in Austria… whatever happened to cheap Mexican food?

Chris likes to hork down the Cafe Rio salads.

Next it was off to Home Depot for some random items we have been needing, but not willing to drive all the way to the “big city” to pick up.

And of course we had to head to Walmart for a fishing pole and some snacks. Because who doesn’t need a fishing pole at the movies?

Okay, so what is up with all the 3D movies? I don’t actually think they are better and they usually cost more. We only chose to go to one because it was showing at a better time than the non-3D show. Gotta love the nerdy glasses you have to wear…

On the way out I stopped to duel with Voldemort. We really loved the movie, it was one of our favorites in the series! Then it was off home. It is amazing how fast you can get home from Cedar City in the middle of the night when there is no tourist traffic! We got home in record time, and on the way we saw the biggest deer I have ever seen in my life. Chris stopped and kept saying, “Quick! Count! How many points was that deer?” In case you are wondering I think it was 9 or 10 points, but no matter how many points it was, that deer was a monster and I am so glad we didn’t hit it! Anyway, it was a great night. Thanks for asking me out Chris! Let’s go out again sometime.
