Elora’s Swim Lessons

Elora got to take swim lessons at the local pool this year. As you can see she’s really excited about swimming.
She really liked her teacher and I was impressed with how brave she was about putting her face in the water and letting go of the side.
Here she is swimming on her back and she can’t do it without giggling like crazy. They taught her to tread water and float on her back and to swim forward a little bit at a time. The class was only 2 weeks so she didn’t learn that much yet, and we’ll have to keep teaching her the rest of the summer!
Meanwhile, Oliver would come and play along with all the siblings who were waiting. He was just as excited for swim lessons because of his new friends he got to play with. He’ll get to take Mommy and Me swim lessons next month.
As soon as Elora got her swim goggles she started showing off how she could dunk her head in the water. It was funny though because her teacher had to keep reminding her that with the goggles on she still didn’t need to close her eyes when she went under water.
Here’s she’s actually swimming and having a great time! What a cutie! Her teacher commented on how she was very brave, and one of the other Mom’s was impressed how she was such a good swimmer.
Her last activity was to dive down to the bottom and find a ring. She was very proud of herself!
